About Us

Our Mission

The CVTheatre Foundation is an independent public charity founded to provide scholarships for high school performing arts students continuing their theatrical education at a post-secondary institution. In most cases, the assistance and mentorship received during high school theater programs typically ends once the curtain closes on senior year, leaving the students to make the transition from high school to post-secondary education on their own. This is where the CVTheatre Foundations steps in, assisting students as they make the leap into their post-secondary education. From performers to stage craft, lighting to audio design or theatrical management, students pursuing all performing arts disciplines are invited to apply.

The CVTheatre Foundation is registered as a non-profit in the state of Pennsylvania and has received federal tax exemption status under IRS Section 501(c)(3). Further, the CVTheatre Foundation received Public Charity Status 509(a)(2).

Investing in the Arts

Every year, around two million students pursue a post-secondary education in the performing arts. The mission of the CVTheatre Foundation is to invest in the performing arts industry by assisting our recipients with their education. Every contribution, regardless of size, has notable impact on the education of a performing arts student.
